Navajo Silversmith Ernie Washee learned his craft from his grandfather. Ernie makes both traditional and contemporary pieces. Ernie lives with his wife Rebecca, an archaeologist, in Blanding. Inspired by Rebecca's love for the ancient cultures of the region, Ernie recreates rock art images and pottery patterns in his designs.
